Transportation from LAX

And is there a way to know how many passengers will ride with us? If my mom and I are ready to go by 9:30 pm do you think we will be at our hotel by 11:00 pm? We're a little worried about time because we want to sleep as much as we can so we can enjoy our 1st day at Disneyland!

Thanks for replying!!

This is why I picked Karmel. Apparently they will pick up no more than one other party before heading out from the airport. It is $45 for two people with a AAA discount.

I booked ExecuCar by Super Shuttle. It's not a shared ride and for 3 of us, after coupon, will be $128 round trip. I will try to remember to update after our flight tomorrow morning. I did not want to wait on picking up other people or have multiple stops.

We waited did grey line and never saw it. Took one of the super shuttle like companies that just do runs in vans from lax to Anaheim. 4 year old was free and I think we each cost $26. Wayyy cheaper than a cab (which was almost $100 with tip) on way back.

It depends on how many at LAX are going to your destination. The Super Shuttle vans hold a MAXIMUM of 9 people. I used them several times to and from LAX on my June trip and there was never 9 people on each journey, one journey had me and 4 others.

Dont stress out about how many people or how long it will take, its not worth it, just go with the flow. @Lebestiole when you and your mom land at LAX just head out to the Super shuttle pick up point, and check in with the Super Shuttle Rep. You give them your confirmation number and they find your booking on their hand held device and they will give you an approx wait time. I know what its like arriving in LAX and just wanting to get to your hotel, my flight to LA is approx 10 hours, but honestly, just chill. Dont expect to have a Super Shuttle waiting to take you to your hotel as soon as you go to the pick up area.

@LadyBJ the same advice to you. Just chill, and dont make problems where there are none. So what if you have to wait 20 minutes for your van, so what if you have to pick up and drop off other passengers. Yes I know travelling is long and tiring and stressful, I fly from Europe to LA every year, thats approx 24 hours from the time I leave my house to the time I arrive at my hotel, but having been travelling to America for nearly 10 years as well as all over Europe, I have found its just not worth getting stressed out about delays and traffic and tranpfort issues

Thanks. It might depend on the driver too because we were already 5 in my group and he needed a few more to "make the trip worthwhile". We were told Anaheim hotel guests (DLR) have a cheaper rate than those getting dropped off in residential areas so they gotta have extra people. It was my first time coming to LA so it was okay for me, I enjoyed the trip despite the long wait. But this time around and at late night, I hope it won't take 2 hours to get to the hotel.

This is what I'm worried about too. We rode SuperShuttle on a previous DL trip and our driver had to circle around the arrival area 2 or 3 times to pick up passengers before leaving. That took a while and we were the last ones to be dropped off. It's fine if it's in the afternoon, but if it's late night and we want to get to the hotel as soon as we can, that might be a problem. I think there should be a minimum of 9 people in the van before it leaves LAX, from what I remember the driver told us.

Check out PrimeTime Shuttle. They do not circle the airport filling up vans. Have had "shared vans" with just us or 1 or 2 other couples in the past. Again, no waiting to fill a van.

Neither PrimeTime or SuperShuttle is very good. They are adequate on good days. Companies like Zippy, Karmel & 4 Most Coach do a better job.

Around how much is zippy for LAX? I see they provide car seats. I've sent in a quote request but I'm really curious.

Thanks! I know I should just relax, but I'm just a little nervous because we arrive at 9 pm and it's our 1st time in LA in over 12 years (we're also not from the US) so we just want to arrive at our hotel safe and sound, and as soon as we can.

FYI - Karmel quoted $44 for two people from LAX to the Tropicana

I just checked their website and it says that they'll take us to out hotel for $52. o-o that's a very good price! I think we'll probly use their service! I'll let you guys know!

We are 2 adults, 1 child (10 YO) that need a one way from LAX to DLH. Any recommendations for us? I've used Greyline the past two times and it was "fine". LOL.

Anyone have the Greyline coupon code or is it round trip only?

Thanks!
