We're flying in to LAX on Sunday and my TA suggested we just grab the Super Shuttle. Then I re-listened to the Disneyland Podcast they did in May and Pete really pushed the Disneyland Express and having pre-paid vouchers for it.
Is GotoBus the "real" Disneyland Express?

What do you suggest? We only need one way because we are renting a car later in the week.

Grayline Anaheim is the "real" DL express bus. Here's the link: http://graylineanaheim.com/docs/GL Anaheim DRE Brochure 2009.pdf

Adults are $22 one way, children $19. I've never taken them, but I've heard pretty good things about them. Are you staying at one of the onsite hotels? They go there first, then the offsite after that. If you're offsite, you might have to wait through several stops to get to your hotel.

Super Shuttle is $42 for the first person (regardless of age) and then $9.00 each additional person. So that could be cheaper depending on how many in your group. There's some coupon codes for Super Shuttle here: http://www.retailmenot.com/view/supershuttle.com Those get you either $3. off per person or 15% off.

Hope that helps!

I took the SuperShuttle to get to Long Beach, not too far from Anaheim, and it was great. Really friendly driver, good price. I was the last to get dropped off but the driver was so friendly I didn't mine, he gave me an audiotour of LA!

And he gave me candy =D

(Ok, that sounds dodgy lol... I'm sure my parents told me *Something* about candy and strangers... hmm.)

thanks for the info!! we're staying at the Hyatt Regency so I think the super shuttle will be better for us.

I went to the super shuttle website and used the coupon :thumbsup2. THANKS!!!!!
I got a rate of $16 pp, with a 15% discount it is only $27 for both of us. :cheer2:

$16 from LAX? Are you sure you picked the right airport? I know that's what it is from SNA, but from LAX and Long Beach it's much more. The website is quoting $42 for the first person from LAX.

Gail, I've gotten caught in the oddity of their site...if you put the zip code of Disneyland, you get massively HUGE prices. If you put your hotel, you get skimpy prices.

So putting in 92802 (or whatever it is, it's saved in my computer, LOL) yields 42 each way. But putting Hyatt Regency-Orange County gets you 16 each way.

Nutty! And sneaky.

With SNA, if you put the zip code you get 16 each way, but the hotel yields only 10 each way per person.

Editing to add...when using the zip code, you get the $x first passenger, $y for subsequent passenger option. When you use the hotel, you get a flat fee for each person.

OK now must go back and look at Ontario airport...I think I might have lost some big money in '07 by using the zip code!!!!

Editing again, whew, no, they have the first person/subsequent people pricing using either option...zipcode is $1 more for the first person, but I know we got the lower price listed. Whew.

I think I also found some mousesavers coupon for the DLR express. It was 3 off RT or one way through 6/30.

Thanks, Molly! Is that ever weird! Very sneaky... and good to know.

I booked Prime Time Shuttle for LAX to the Hojo for $15/each way.

I believe when they're taking you to/from a DL area hotel they know they need to compete with Disneyland Express, so have a competitive price. If it's to/from a residence they don't have such competition. So we, for instance, pay the full freight price even though we live in the 92802 zip code. I suppose we could have a neighbor drop us off at one of the hotels ... hmm ... Anywho, the trick on the SuperShuttle site is to click the "Search Hotels and Landmarks" box.
