Transportation from LAX with toddler

We are a month out from our Disneyland trip! I was originally thinking of booking bus transportation from LAX to Anaheim so that we could bypass (somewhat safely) the carseat rules. Hitch: we depart SNA, so we can't make use of the bus roundtrip deal. But I'm reading that maybe Lyft and Uber have carseats available? We need transportation for myself, DH, SIL, and 3-year old. Any success stories getting a ride-share with a carseat from LAX and around the Park? TYIA

Lyft and Uber do not have car seats available in this area. You would need your own seat and have to install it yourself. I believe there is at least one car service that might have car seats available. Hopefully someone can chime in with the name.

Lansky's is one of the car services that provides car seats. Had a great experience with them last week. From my research, didn't find any ride-sharing services that provide car seats. Since you have 3 adults and only 1 toddler traveling, maybe consider bringing your carseat if you're looking to save transportation money - you'll have extra hands to help lug it through the airport and then you can install it yourself in Lyft or Uber.

Personally, I would bring the child's car seat and use it on the airplane and then take an Uber or Lyft. I looked at Lansky for transportation from SNA last week - they charge $80 one-way; we got an UberXL (two children in car seats plus stroller and luggage) for $36. We've taken regular Uber for around $20 each way. Car seats are only good if they are installed and child strapped in correctly - these things are much easier to do with your own, familiar seat. On top of that, airplane seat belts are not designed for young kids/under 40lbs.

You can strap the car seat to an umbrella stroller and have the child walk through the airport. There are also carts with wheels that you can buy to pull the seat and are strong enough for the child to sit in it while doing so.

Looks like the Disneyland Express rate would be about $50 X 3 (kids under 12 free) for one way from LAX, and return to SNA, which might be a better deal than a private service. But, a private service has the benefit of just being for you, and will probably shave off a lot of time.
