Transportation from Homewood Suites Blue Lagoon

We're staying at the Homewood Suites in Miami near the airport. We're looking for transportation options from the hotel to the cruise port. Any suggestions?

We're staying at Homewood Blue Lagoon the night before our upcoming b2b NCL cruises. We plan to get a taxi.

A taxi from the airport is a flat rate, of $23, I think...but if you leave from the hotel, its quite a bit more. The hotel offered a shuttle, but I think it was $12 per person.

We took and Uber XL (because we had a lot of luggage). My partner created a new account and with the sign up credit, our ride was less than $5 making the Uber $25 of less. It was great and we will do it that way again if we stay there again...

It was a GREAT hotel. I highly recommend it!

The hotel runs a free shuttle to/from the airport. We have a rental car to return the morning of the cruise. We were planning to get everyone to the airport then taxi if we don't just bite the bullet and pay a higher fare from the hotel. Never used Uber. Not sure I'm real confident with that stuff.
