transportation from Hard Rock to Downtown Disney

I am looking for the best rate to go from Hard Rock Hotel to Cirque De Soleil. I called a cab company and they said about $25 each way, Happy Limo $66 roundtrip(tips included). Any other suggestions???

Rent a car for the day. I think Hertz is in some/all of the Universal hotels.

First I think Happy limo gave you a bad quote you would need at least 4 hour charter, and I find it hard to believe ANYONE would charter at $16.50 per hour INCLUDING TIP!!!

Second, I think rental car is bad idea unless you know where you are going. So many people think renting is cheaper until they get lost and miss the show, get in an accident--miss the show, breakdown--miss the show, etc. Do what ever you wish but to ensure a safe and cost effective trip--take the cab. Besides you paid a HUGE ticket price, you might as well spring the extra $50 + tip and get there safe, sound and on time.

I take it you're a cab driver. DOESN'T JUSTIFY GIVING OUT BAD INFORMATION. The limo companies are going to drop off and pick up. They price it like an airport run. The quote from happy sounds about right. FL tours is charging $70 R/T from a Disney resort to Universal.

The roads in Orlando are very well marked. Absolutely no reason not to rent a car.

CAB is the worse way to go. You're on a meter and if you get caught in traffic it'll wind up costing you more.

Thanks for all the tips. I will not rent a car b/c I am a single mom and know NOTHING about Orlando. I trust Happy Limo or FL Tours so i'll go with one of them and pay the extra to feel safe and know that they will be there when I say.
