Hi Everyone: This is the first time at Dolphin honestly we have never been without Disney transportation on previous trips. What will be the best route Uber, Lyft, taxi or hop on over to closest resort grab a bus?

We had a breakfast reservation at the contemporary so we took a Lyft to the hotel and then walked to magic kingdom after breakfast. We took an afternoon break and since we weren’t in a rush when we went back, we used the swan/dolphin bus to the ttc and then took the ferry from there. It was fine, but did take a little longer due to the ttc step. Returning to the hotel, we took either the boardwalk or beach club bus, whichever came first.

If you want to be transported directly to MK rather than to the TTC, where you'd then have to hop on the monorail or ferry over to the park, I'd recommend walking over to Beach Club or Boardwalk and hopping on their MK bus, which will take you directly to the park itself.

Don't Swan/Dolphin use Disney Transportation buses to/from the parks? Or did that change?

Just got back from our stay at the Swan which we have stayed at many, many times.

Friendship boats still run to HS and Epcot. Buses to AK and MK however have changed. The bus to MK drops you off at TTC - where you can monorail or ferry to MK (or hotels if you have dining). The bus to AK drops you off in the parking lot which really confused us. It is definitely not in the normal bus drop off area.

On Saturday (10/23) we stayed in MK until close (10pm) then took the Boardwalk bus instead of going to TTC.

Our AK day was a planned hop day with Epcot. However there were no buses from AK to the other parks. We jumped on a bus to Riviera then took the Skyliner to Epcot.

When we stayed at the Swan in early September we used the Mears bus to both MK (2x) and AK. Our MK busses both times were coaches (with upholstered, forward-facing seats), and very relaxing. We weren't rope dropping, so didn't mind being dropped at TTC - in fact we even planned for it, and got our breakfast and coffee at the TTC Joffrey's before getting on the ferry/monorail. Not sure Uber or Lyft will save you much time unless there is a long wait for the bus, as they have to take you to TTC as well.

Coming back, we took the Boardwalk bus. Caveat that this was end of summer/Labor day when it was super low crowds and we never had to wait long for a bus (or even sit next to anyone for that matter).

Disney provides park to park transportation for park hopping, either bus, boat, monorail or skyliner after 2pm. We used the buses from AK to Epcot and HS in late September.
