transportation from airport

Hi Disney Experts,
We are driving down from the midwest and staying in a villa in the Davenport area. We have other family flying in to Orland Int. airport and we are trying to figure out the least expensive way to get them from the airport to the rented villa without us making several trips back and forth picking up family on 2 different flights on different days. Anyone have any good suggestions? I called some shuttle services and was quoted $70 one way and cab was up there also. Free shuttles seem to be only if you stay on Disney property. Getting them on a bus seems too difficult for older parents with luggage to hall. Are there any other options I don't know about?? Any help with this dilemma is appreciated!!

Sounds like you are getting pretty much the going rate for car services. I doubt there is any other way to do that, other than to make the drive yourself.

Mears shuttle services are usually about $20 one-way per person to various area hotels, but not sure if they go to private villas.

Mears shuttle willl not do private villas. Depending on where in Davewnport you are, I would have them book shuttle to Champions gate if near I-4/US27 or to Orange Lake if closer to US27/192(Irlo Bronson) and pick them up there by car. Taxi or car service gonna be $75+ to those areas.

Mears Shuttle to Disney area would be better than driving to airport. Anyone know what the cost might be?

You can reserve Mears for 38 RT per person to the Swan, Dolphin, or Shades of Green. You could then meet them there with the car. Or 20 one way.
