DH are doing a cruise this August. We are staying at an airport hotel and have hotel provided shuttle service from hotel to Port. But we are wanting to eat at California Grill one night. What would be the best (cheapest?) way to get to Disney area from the airport hotel??

I don't mind the city bus system (we are from Chicago). I am just worried about doing that AFTER viewing Wishes, so therefore a late night at California Grill.

Approximately how much would a taxi be?

Yep, it would be cheaper to rent a car, but many people just aren't all that comfortable driving in unfamiliar places.
The Lynx bus will pick up at MCO (just not sure where) and drop you at the TTC. Then, it's a nice monorail ride over to the CR. Below is what I found on the MCO site...looks very easy. Just head down to level 1, ground transportation and look for the Lynx sign.

Local Buses

Lynx
455 N. Garland Avenue

Located on the A-side of the Main Terminal, on the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1), at Commercial Lane spaces A38-A41
Downtown Orlando (Approximately 40 minutes)
Lynx bus 11 departs via Orange Avenue at 5:56 to 23:57 (5:56 to 21:57 on Saturdays, and 6:27 to 20:27 Sundays and holidays)
Lynx bus 51 departs via Conway at 5:38 to 21:37 (5:20 to 20:22 on Sundays and holidays)

International Drive (Approximately 60 minutes)
Lynx bus 42 departs at 6:00 to 22:30 (6:30 to 21:30 on Sundays and holidays)

Walt Disney World (Approximately 75 minutes)
Lynx bus 111 departs at 6:00 to 22:30 (6:30 to 21:30 on Sundays and holidays)

Apopka
Lynx bus 41 departs via SR 436 at 5:15 to 22:45 (5:40 to 21:40 on Sundays and holidays)

Cost:
$2.00 for each destination. Additional connecting service to shopping and residential areas also available.
Please see the Lynx web site for more details including the complete schedule

OP: you want the 111 bus. It takes you to Downtown Disney and possibly another location onsite; check the link provided above. If you only go as far as DtD, simply walk over to the WDW buses and board the one for the Contemporary. If it ends at the TTC, even better. Just walk over to the monorail.
