Transportation frm HGVC Parc Soleil to WDW ?

We have booked 6 nights@ Hilton's Parc Soleil in December 2013.
My DW& I will have arrived from a 14 night transatlantic cruise& we wanted washer / dryer after being on the ship.
As we are from Australia (& drive on the other side of the road - rofl ) we are not confident in hiring a car.
Does anyone have any experience with the hotels shuttle service to the park(s) ?
Otherwise what are approx taxi fares to parks / DD?
From great rate at hotel don't mind spending on transportation / but want flexibility / ease of getting to local destinations

I have no idea what the hotel/resort shuttles will be like. Most are 'okay'. You are fairly close to WDW, so cabs shouldn't run you too much in fares. You may want to just head to the Ticket and Transportation Center each day and then head to whichever park you want to go to from there.
To get to DTD, I would go there directly since there is no transportation between any park and DTD.
