Transportation for 7:30am Trails End Breakfast

Is this possible if not staying at Fort Wilderness Campground? My plan was to take an early bus to Magic Kingdom and catch the boat over to Trails End. Question: What time do the boats start running between MK and Fort Wilderness Campground? There is Early Morning Magic at Magic Kingdom that day.

I would take a Lyft. Getting there that early is pretty much impossible using Disney transportation

Hmm... I do not want to take a Lyft for budgetary reasons.
I cannot find out what time the green flag launch boats run between MK and Fort Wilderness campground.

However, I read that the Blue Flag launch boats operate between 6:45am and 11:30pm. I thought perhaps we could take a bus to Magic Kingdom, the monorail from MK to Contemporary, and then the Blue Flag launch boat over to Fort Wilderness Campground. Does anyone know if this is possible?

That was correct last time I checked. The boats from MK officially start running 30 minutes before park opening.

The Resort Monorail's official opening time is 7am. It would be close getting to Trails End by 7:30. However, you could walk from the MK to the CR boat dock. It's a 3/4 mi. walk.

Still close, though. You don't say where you are starting from. Typically the first bus from a resort to MK is around 6:30, but could be as late as 6:45. If the bus arrives at MK at 7, you still have a 15 minute walk to CR boat dock, up to a 15 minute wait for a boat, plus the travel time and maybe a 5 minute walk from the FW boat dock to Trails End. You might make it by 7:30, or you might not.

BTW, Lyft does not go Trails End. It can drop you at the FW parking lot & check-in area, known as the Outpost, where you would have about a 12 minute bus ride on an internal shuttle bus to Trails End. Or it can drop you at CR or WL where you could take the boat.

If you are doing WDW transportation, here would be what you probably would need to do.

• Be at your resort bus stop at least by 6:30 am for the first bus to MK
• Walk to CR and head straight for the boat dock, you will probably have to go through security, but if they are not set up, it should be only a few minutes
  • You can do the monorail, it might save steps, but I do not think it will save much time unless it is just heading to MK as you pass through security at MK
• Take the boat that circles Bay Lake resorts
  • If there are 2 already running take the one directly to FW
• Walk to TE

It might be tight on time to get there by 7:30, but at that time of morning the bus should be a quick ride and there should be no security lines.

You can definitely get to a 7:30 breakfast at a monorail resort. I’ve done it a lot, and other people will do it too. If the monorail’s not running, there will be a bus to get everyone to their 7:30 ressies.

Trail’s End will be trickier, but you should make it within your grace period. Since you mentioned a morning EMH, I’m assuming you’re not planning to catch rope drop. No table service breakfast will be done early enough.

I’d be willing to book it if it were my only opportunity for trail’s end. I’d take bus to MK, then go to the boat dock. Cast Members at the boat dock will know how soon a boat is coming (with morning EMH they should just be getting started when you arrive around 7). They might recommend the walk to contemporary, or horror of horrors tell you to take a bus. Try to avoid that because as someone mentioned previously, the bus and Uber/Lyft don’t take you to trails end, and the internal bus at FW is no fun.

There is Early Morning Magic the day we are going so Magic Kingdom opens at 9am. I was hoping to make it to the park by 9am.
It sounds like Trails End is out of the question so I am thinking a 7:30 breakfast at a monorail resort.

Sorry, I confused early morning magic and extra magic hours. Early morning magic starts even earlier, so the boat situation will be better, but it sounds like you’ll be happier at a monorail resort breakfast. Of those you mentioned, I think Kona’s service is least reliable (but my favorite breakfast food) I’d probably pick the Wave and walk to/from MK.

To stay within my budget I would like to take advantage of Disney transportation.

You don't say where you are starting from.

We will be starting at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

OK -- so that's a good 15 minutes bus ride to CR. Trails End is dubious, but you should be OK to get to the monorail resorts by 7:30.

We may try a 7:45am at Trails End and see how it goes! We have had dinner at Trails End and Hoop Dee Doo but we have not tried breakfast.

The Wave would be the easiest breakfast if you want it at 7:30. You would just need to bus to MK and can walk to CR from there.

The good thing at least with Trail's End that early is that even if you do show up late, chances are good they will still accommodate you. They generally have availability for breakfast, especially early.
