Transportation: Epcot to MGM

Family is going to Epcot this AM and might head over to MGM later. They have a car, but is there a fun way to make that trip?

Try taking the Friendship boats located outside the International gateway (between England and France). They make stops at Boardwalk Inn, Yacht & Beach Club, and the Swan & Dolphin before getting to MGM. Its really a nice, relaxing way to get there.

You can take the Friendship boat from the Epcot International Gateway, which is near the United Kingdom. These boats run continuous service between Epcot and the Disney Studios stopping along the way at the Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht Clubs, and the Swan/Dolphin. The boat takes about as long as walking between the two parks, about 30 minutes. But it is a nice relaxing ride. It is especially nice if you have never been to the Epcot resort area.

If they are going to DRIVE back home (or to the resort) after MGM closes, they will need to ride back to Epcot to get their car.

The BEST way to do THIS is by the MGM/Epcot BUS as it will let them out at the Epcot front gate area (where the parking lot tram is located).

Of course the OTHER option for this whole day is to park at MGM lot in the morning, take the BUS to Epcot front gate (or the BOAT to the It'l. Gateway) and then, when they are finished at MGM in the evening, their car will be in the MGM lot.

AND...
This time of year it is POSSIBLE to see the 7pm Fantasmic! at MGM, then exit, ride the boat (or WALK) to Epcot Int'l Gateway and see IllumiNations at 9pm.
