Hi :wave2: We plan to fly from Canada to Paris CDG airport on Dec 25 (Monday) and depart on Jan 1.

We will plan to visit Disney Village as well as Versailles. So we are sure if it's worth buying 1 week Carte Orange (Zones 1 to5). Here are my questions hope you can answer one or all of them :

1. How much euro does an individual train ticket costs to get to Disney Village from downtown Paris ?

2. How much does one way train ticket costs from CDG airport to downtown Paris ?

3. Can Carte Orange be purchased from RER station directly at the CDG airport on Xmas Day?

4. I know passport photo needs to be taken for Carte Orange, did anyone take the photo back home in advance and bring it in ? Are the staff picky with your passport photo ?
(i don't understand French, it may be inconvenient to find photo booth or follow instructions to take passport photo there)

Thanks
TC

Trerence,

Im sorry I can't answer any of your questions as I have no experience of DLPR in that respect, but just wanted to say your pictures are fab. It looked like a really MAGICAL wedding day.

Im sure one of the other more knowledgeable posters here will be along to answer them soon. :thumbsup2

I can't help either but I also wanted to say how wonderful your wedding photos are, I've just looked at them and have a little tear in my eye. Loved the dancing with Minnie and Mickey pics, how cool is that?!!

Terrance...hello from ITALY. Your photos are WONDERFUL !! :cheer2: The music, the sequences...no words can describe how beautiful they are...it will be a bit difficult to get your DLP answers...everyone will looks at your photos and forget about your question !! Just kidding...I can't help ...we will be going this Dec.26th for 6 days and will be staying at the Newport Bay CLub...Who knows..maybe I'll recognize you !! :-)

Hello,

you can purchase the carte d'orange at any larger RER station. You have to buy it at the counter, because it consists of two parts. The "Passport" where you have to attach the photo by yourself (there is an adhesive pad on it) with an imprinted number and the ticket itself in which you have to write the number by yourself. As you have to attach the photo yourself, it can be any good photo. The standard photo (3x4cm) is a little bit too large. It is more (2.3x3 cm). Any good printout on photopaper will do it. We brought them with us last time but you can go to a photo booth, too.
Beware, the machines will only sell the tickets so go to the counter, please.
AFAIK CDG-Paris is 8,50 Euro and Paris-Disneyland 6,25 Euro.
A Carte D'Orange for 31,50 Euro for the Zones 1-5 is a very good choice. It is valid from monday to sunday and much cheaper than the "Paris Visite" which they are trying to sell to the tourists.

If it were me, I would get it sorted before I left home - one less thing to sort out, or worry about, once you're on holiday.

HI , Thanks for the kind words.

Kaido,
For the photo, does It have to be on photopaper?
If i use a laser printer to print my photo on a normal A4 paper (& then cut it to the required size), would that be ok?

Thx

Sorry, don't know. :confused3
They do not check the photo at the RER counter. They check it only if you run in to a ticket inspection. We did once, it was like a terrorist hunt, with dogs, guns and stuff (they do the inspections mostly in the stations not in the trains). They just took a short look at our passports, because German tourists were obviously not the prefered target group. From your lovely website I assume that you both have an asian backround and I had the impression, that they checked people with asian or african complexion more thoroughly. Most of the underprivileged people in France are immigrants from Africa and Asia so sorry to say that but I think, that these guys had a prejudice problem :furious:. Ok it was a single incident but maybe you just bring to photos with you. They won't need to much space in your suitcase :goodvibes

Greetings

kaido
