I have a question and I am hoping some of you might be able to answer. If you are staying off the resort property, how do you get around the different parks. For instance , if we had the hopper passes and wanted to get from one park to the other, how would we do that? Can we ride just any bus? How would we get to DTD? Thanks

to get from epcot to MK and back you can take the monorail. Im not sure about the other ones. Maybe to go the transportation place and ride a bus???

Yes, you can use any of the Disney transportation to get around the World while visiting.
Usually busses do not travel from park to park, you will have to transfer at a resort. I don't remember if parks go to DTD...don't think they did when we were there.

drive your car you can try the buses but the buses are for Disney resort guests only so don't be surprised if they asks you for a key to the kingdom card for proof that you are staying on property and then told sorry you cant ride

Seriously???
How do they expect visitors who stay off site and either take a taxi or shuttle to the World to park hop??? I always understood that trans was for everyone...except for DME.
And in a 10 day visit we were not asked once to show KTTW cards...and we did not display them on lanyards.

I have been to Disney many many many times....and I have NEVER been asked for a Key to the Kingdom card. Never.

You can drive since you'll have your vehicle....or you can ride the buses. Between MK and Epcot you can take the monorail.

There ARE busses from park to park (and monorail from MK to Epcot, boat from DHS to Epcot). You do not need to transfer at a resort. There are NOT direct busses from DTD to the parks anymore because people were parking at DTD to avoid the parking fees and clogging the lots.

This is NOT true. Disney transportation is for resort guests as well as anyone with valid admission media. Although, as another poster mentioned I've never once been asked for it.

I would caution the OP however to not park your car at a park that closes long before you plan to return. For example, don't park at AK which closes the earliest and then hop to Epcot for dinner. Either park your car where you plan on ending the day, or drive from park to park. Keep your receipt handy; you only have to pay once a day to park.

I sorry if I offended anybody but thats what it says on the Disney website and the last time we were there we were ask six times for are cards twice by the same guy on the same day one hour apart at the monarral at the transportation center

Not offended, just confused. :confused3 Does the website say resort busses or does it say all Disney transportation? I assume you were using the resort monorail not the theme parks one since anyone staying off-site would have to use the transportation and ticket center to actually get to the MK. Besides, Disney wouldn't sell the hopper pass to off-site guests and then not allow them to hop. It wouln't make any sense.

Complimentary Resort Transportation

Complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World Resort is available via bus, boat or monorail for Guests staying at a select Walt Disney World Resort hotel. it dosnt say much just that

Ah! I think we are dealing with Disney semantics here. Transportation IS complimentary for resort guests. It is also complimentary for day visitors as well. :thumbsup2

OK I may be wrong but I just don't someone to be mad if they are asked to get off because they are not staying at a resort and have a bad Disney experience

There were times we had to transfer to get to another park :confused3 maybe things changed or we missed a sign (and we were looking).

I'm sure we could get a better answer over on the transportation or theme parks boards. I'm 99% sure you can get from park to park but I've never done all of the combinations so I certainly won't bet the house on it. :lmao: OP- maybe you should post your question on one of the other boards. We're much better at kid questions on this one. :rotfl:

I will agree with you on this...there were some parks (ie, MK) that were direct and others that were transfer. This may be due to seasons too. Trans experts could answer better :)

I have never been asked to show my key to the world card to ride anything when transporting anywhere on property. Could you imagine if they card checked everyone, it would be sooooo slow..

What is the cost of internal transportation from park to park?

Hi Kollengode!

All Disney internal transportation is included in your valid theme park admission or your Disney Resort stay. You can use any boat, monorail, tram or bus without charge to move between the resorts, parks and shopping areas during your stay.

Have a magical vacation!

OK I was wrong I just look at Disney's site I forgot about all ears

I had to search and search for that one. It seems as though Disney is very much encouraging people to stay on-site. (which I suppose makes perfect sense)

Still can't find anything on park to park transportation one way or another. The only things I know for sure is that I've gone from Epcot to MK and I almost went from AK to MK. We were going to dinner at the Poly and I almost got on the bus to MK figuring I would then get the boat or monorail from there to the Poly when I realized that I just had to take the bus directly to the Poly. Duh!:rotfl:
