We have never park hopped before.

With the new EMH, we are hoping to do 4 parks in 2 days. MK and AK one day and MGM and Epcot another.

Our trip is Feb. 8-12.

What is the fastest way to get from one park to another and how long can we expect.

We are staying at ASMO but will have our own vehicle.

I would recommend MK and epcot in the same day because they are both on the monorail.

That sounds like a possibility since the day we plan for MK it has 3 extra hours. How long will it take on the monorail?

Which park would you spend the least and most time?

It sounds like you will be doing Epcot first.

The monorail ride to the TTC will be about 10 minutes with a possible 10 minute wait for the monorail. Changing to the MK monorail will take a few minutes. If you take the express monorail, it will take 5 minutes with a possible 5 minute wait.

So total time about 30 minutes.

I would recommend that you do the parks as you originally posted. MK and EPCOT take me and my family the longest. You could start your day in AK, eat lunch there and then head over to MK. The bus ride from AK to MK could take anywhere from 20 to 40 mins, depending on whether a bus has just left the stop or is just pulling in when you arrive.

On your EPCOT/MGM day I would go to MGM first and move to EPCOT in the evening, unless MGM has evening magic hours that night. Then I'd start in EPCOT and stay until mid afternoon. You can take a boat ride from the International Gateway in the World Showcase portion of EPCOT to MGM and visa versa. I've never taken this boat but I've read it takes about 20 mins travel time plus however long you have to wait for the boat.

If you want to do Epcot and the Studios together you can either take the boat from the International Gateway exit of Epcot or walk. The walk will take about 20 minutes, probably faster than taking the boat. The walk to the Studios starts at the Boardwalk Villas. With the water on your right (and the Swan/Dolphin hotels) and the Villas on your left just keep walking. You will end up at the entrance to the Disney/MGM Studios. When exiting Epcot you can walk straight past the Beach and Yacth clubs and then left over the bridge to the Boardwalk. Then right turn and keep going.
You can also take the first bridge after the Epcot exit and cross over to the Boardwalk area.
Either way it's a nice enjoyable walk.....unless it's very hot.

I agree that AK and Mk should be done together. Epcot and MGM should be done together. Most people, not all, spend the least amount of time at AK. So if you plan on spending the most time at MK, then those two are a natural. Ak in the am, and then bus to MK.
