How hard is it to use disney transporatation between disney hotels. For instance if we spent the day at AK. Then left and went to the Poly for supper then had to get back to the POP where we are staying. I figured we would have to take monorail from Poly to MK then take bus from MK to POP. Has anyone done something like this? How much time did it take and was it worth it? Also if we wanted to eat at GF our first day there. Would we have to take bus from POP to MK, then monorail from MK to GF. TAxi is not in the question due to having a 2 year old without a car seat. Thanks for any input.

You have indeed identified the only way to get from one resort hotel to another using Disney transportation. When doing this, don't limit yourself to bus and monorail, consider watercraft as well. For example, going from the MK to GF by monorail means stopping at the Contemporary, TTC, and Poly before getting to the GF. But, you can grab a launch from the MK directly to the GF.

Resort to resort on Disney Transportation almost always requires a connecction. (One of the rare exceptions, French Quarter to Riverside).

Once you take the bus to Magic Kingdom, whether the monorail or the boat (not the big ferry) gets you to Grand Floridian first probably depends on which arrives to pick you up first.

Also keep in mind during the Off-season the MK may not be open as late as it is during the summer. Sometimes MK will closed at 6 or 7 pm which means the Buses to/from MK will stop running pretty early. Epcot normaly is also open to at least 9 pm and Downtown Disney is open till 2 am, so you can go there if MK is Closed for Transfering to your Resort. :surfweb:

Is there an easy guide to intrapark travel that can be printed out to carry around so not to get stranded???

Actually, as far as the car seat is concerned, it says on Mousesavers that you can request a taxi with a carseat at any of the taxi stands at the hotels. I may do this a couple of times with my 2 year old in November. :thumbsup2
