Transportation Advice Needed Please!

Greetings! I am hoping that someone can offer me good advice RE: the following dilemma . . .I am taking Magical Express from MCO to WDW on 9/14. I needed to rent a car because I am staying off-site over the weekend. I've been monitoring prices for weeks & had settled on a 3 day weekend rental picking up & dropping off at the car care center. The best price I found was about $145 (!) I was just able to book a last minute weekly rental for $160. The catch: I need to pick up the car at MCO instead of the car care center at WDW (where the same time period costs $400!!!) So, what is a cost effective way for me to get to MCO on Friday morning?

Several options...I already mentioned taking the Mears shuttle back to MCO..about $19 pp one way.
My question is this though...are you returning to WDW after that weekend offsite? If you are ending your WDW stay on the day you want to rent the car (Friday), you can take DME back to the airport and then pick up the car. If you are planning on returning to WDW, after the weekend offsite, then you probably have a new resort reservation. If that is the case, you can still take DME back to MCO that Friday, get your car, go about your business, and then return the car to the rental place at MCO and take DME to the new WDW resort. Just a thought.

goofy4tink, thank you so much for your responses. Duh! Yes, I should be able to take ME to MCO. Tipping the driver will be the least expensive way for me to get to MCO. I will simply make arrangements to use ME. (Honestly, sometimes the most simple solution is 'right there', but we need someone else to show us.)
