Transportant from POR to Universal Studios/IOA

Hey, Everyone!!!! We will be staying at POR this coming May and were planning on going to Universal Studios during out stay. We will not be renting a car, so I was curious if anyone had any ideas or suggestions for transportation from POR to Universal.

Is there a shuttle service I can call or would a taxi be the best way? How much would a taxi ride be?

Most of the town car services will take you to Universal Studios. You might want to check with some of the most familiar services -- FL Tours (site sponsor), Tiffany Town Car and/or Happy Limo.

Mears charged $12 per person roundtrip in October from ASMu to US. We called the day before & got a pick-up time. We didn't have to set a return time then as long as we called 2 hours before we wanted to be picked up at US.

If you have a larger group, a towncar or cab may be cheaper.

just wanted to add my 2 cents about mears. i love them. i use them whenever i need to go off disney property. one note though, we usually left universal for our last day and would be returning to our resort to collect bags and wait for our return shuttle to the airport. if you are going to do this, pay close attention to the time. you have to call mears 2 hours before you want to be picked up from the park and your shuttle/car service back to the airport has a set window of time as well. i mention this because, mears required a pickup for the airport 3 hours before and even though we were picked up from universal ontime, we made stops to many disney resorts and by the time we got back to our resort, we were only 10-15 minutes from our airport shuttle arriving.

my point, if you do this your last day, allow extra time above the extra time you already alotted.
