Transport to Busch Gardens

Dont know if this is the right place for this thread, but:-
We want to have a day at Busch Gardens.last visit we got the free bus from Sea World, it was 1 hour late leaving, then we had to wait nearly the same coming back for a couple who never turned upThe kids got VERY restless.
my question is, is there a more reliable alternative?We dont really want to hire a car for just one day,as we are staing at Beach Club and Royal Pacific so are in the middle of all we need.

With Busch Gardens being over an hour drive from Disney, your best bet, unfortunately, would probably be to rent a car for the day - which you can do at the car care center or Swan/Dolphin hotel. Other than that, you could check out Mears transportation for a shuttle, however, as you said, they may not be as reliable as you'd like.

Unfortunately, that's one of the problems with a shuttle service. If you really don't want to rent a car for the day (which would be my suggestion) I would contact some towncar services. Just keep in mind that it's likely to be expensive. I know when we used a towncar service to get from airport to the port several years ago it was about $100 each way.

You discovered the problems with a shuttle bus. Renting a car for a day would be the most economical solution. Remember to include a few dollars for gas and for parking at BG when you evaluate the cost.

You could book a car service but it will be expensive. R/T towncar service from a Disney resort to the tampa airport is around $344 + tip. I think Bush Gardens is a little closer and the car service won't be paying airport fees. The cost may be a little less.

You're committing to leaving BG at a particular time. You'll probably be out of lucky if you get tired and want to leave early. I'm assuming you'll schedule your pickup 30-60 minutes after park closing.

You can try any of the car services mentioned on DIS. Alternately a poster suggested a Tampa car service.

No doubt a car service will cost more then renting a car but you're spending $$$ for your vacation. You get to decide if it's worth a couple of hundred extra dollars to get personalized service.
