On our last trip to Busch Gardens we took advantage of the free bus service from Sea World. We wish to go again but NOT using the bus, as it was nearly an hour late leaving Sea World, and the same leaving Busch Gardens. the children got VERY fed up and restless. I dont reallly want to hire a car as this is the only occasion we would use it,as we are staying at Beach Club and Royal Pacific, so are in the middle of everything, and having never driven in the States before i dont fancy driving on the wrong side of the road, in the dark, not knowing where i am going!
Has anyone got any suggestions of an alternative? Obviously i know it will cost!.

Other than private hire (taxi, Mears, etc), I don't think there's another option that won't be a logistical headache (happy for others to correct me though !).

Are you really dead set against driving ? It's easy for me to say given I've always driven on all of our trips but it really is simple. There's loads of others who will confirm this. I wouldn't go to Busch any other way.

Don't know how costly it is to hire a car for a day so you could take for 2-3 days and use it to go to the outlets or the malls....

hope you get some good answers. :goodvibes
weve been a couple of times and never driven, like you we stayed at a hotel in the middle of the action so only need to drive for one day- its not worth all the hire car costs..
ive got a similar question about transport to universal but not sure what Disney hotel we're going to stay at this time.
we used to buy Mears shuttle passes from Virgin rep when we got to Orlando.
on our 1st trip it was great, got our own cab who picked us up and took us direct to our hotel. this time Mears did it different, we had to stop at various locations for pick ups and drop offs- it added hours.

good luck.xx

This suggestion might not work for you, but what about going on the bus one day and stay overnight in that area of Tampa and then come back on the bus the next day?

Or maybe there is train transport?
