Hello all,
I have a party of six cruising and we have transfers TO the port from our hotel included with our hotel stay, but undecided about getting back to the Miami airport from the port when we disembark.
Our original thought was to take a taxi or rideshare but wondering if we will have trouble finding one that can take all six of us. We will each have a carry-on-sized suitcase and handbag of some sort. Anyone have experience with this for a group of 6? Is there a line of them waiting at the port and we would just pick a van-taxi or XL Lyft on the spot? Or would we need to call one?
Next thought was whether it would be possible to add one-way transfers through DCL. Does DCL do one-way transfers? Can we add that ourselves online (we booked the cruise ourselves)? If so, is there a minimum timeframe (we are only about 3 weeks out)?
If all else fails, we can always break into two groups of three (but would prefer to stay together, if possible).
Thanks!!

Responding to my own thread in case this helps anyone!

After logging into my reservation online, I found where I could add ground transfers & would have been able to do the entire thing online (I assume), except that it defaults to round-trip transfers, and I only wanted one-way. There is a phone number to call for one-way transfers right there on that page, so I called and had them added for all 3 cabins (had to do separate transactions for each; I presume we'll all be on one bus/van together, but that's less of a concern now that it's all arranged in advance).

Next question: how do they communicate information on when/where to find the ground transportation once we disembark? I can of course ask at Guest Services once onboard, but it might be helpful to know in advance, if anyone here knows and can comment (should I be watching for an email before the cruise? Or, do they leave info in our cabin the night before? etc.).

You should get info in the stateroom on the last evening. What’s important is the schedule because you cannot miss where to go once you disembark and retrieve your luggage. There will be plenty of signs and port employees to guide you to the appropriate spot. They usually allow you to get on the shuttle at any time once the passengers are allowed to disembark. You are not assigned a specific bus.
