Transport from MCO to Portofino Bay

We are heading to Universal in September and just booked our flights. We are not renting a car I was thinking of booking a towncar for transportation from MCO to Portofino, but DH thinks a cab may be a better option. Does anyone know what the cab fare would be one way?

I can't answer your question regarding cab fare, but I can tell you that we've used Mears towncar service numerous times for roundtrip from MCO to Universal onsite hotels and it's been great service and well worth the money. For 2 adults and 2 children it was approx $110 roundtrip with a meet & greet at luggage pickup. Check out the Mears website...you can price towncar, shuttle and cab service.

We paid around $46 (including tip) for a cab from RPR to MCO just last week. I was actually surprised it wasn't more than this! Probably add a few $$$'s for PBH.

i'd recommend the towncar option....it's only a few bucks more than a cab, but a better experience overall. you're staying at the pbh, so go in style!

Thanks for the replies. It does look like the cost for a towncar isn't much more than a cab, and the convenience is worth it to me though DH doesn't see the problem with a cab.
It's funny how you can plan a whole vacation, then quibble over a small amount of money when it comes to the small details!
