Transport Between Epcot and DTD

So I am looking to travel from Epcot to DTD and then back on our upcoming trip in October. I have thus far figured out that it is better to use taxi service. I have read however, and I might be wrong, that if u ask a CM or resort desk to call a taxi for you it is quicker.than when you call yourself. Is this true ? If so then how do I get a taxi at DT and in Epcot ? Guest services ?

There are taxi stands just beyond the busses. It's as easy as walking up to one.

Just a suggestion-a FUN way from Epcot to DTD is take a POR bus from Epcot and take the boat down the mighty Sassagoula from POR to DTD and reverse the route back to Epcot

20-25 minutes,not the fastest way to DTD,but the FUNNEST!

Awesome.

Also,after leaving POR,the boat will stop at POFQ-just stay on the boat there and it will continue on from there to DTD(Disney Springs).

Actually, you don't have to walk to a taxi stand. Just tell the CM at the entrance to your resort you'd like a taxi and they will whistle one over for you immediately.

The OP is wanting to travel to/from DTD from EPCOT- not their resort. In any case, taxis are readily available.

You could always go out the International Gateway and go to either Beach Club (Yacht Club) or Boardwalk and take the bus. This will save a lot of time if you are in World Showcase when you want to leave.

You can also have a fun ride, taking the monorail from Epcot to the TTC and then the monorail resort line to any of the monorail resorts and then a bus to DS.
