Transparent yoga pants - yuck!

And I'm pretty sure there's no way a cast member can approach a woman about visible panties, without it turning into a huge embarrassing deal for both the cast member and Disney.

Even my yoga teacher won't tell students if their pants/shorts are on the see-through side. And lululemon's yoga line quite famously ended up with a manufacturing error that made their pants see-through!

It's not an easy thing to tell someone, especially in the middle of a themepark where there's nothing much to be done.

Another park fashion don't - white pants. Whether the culprit is a water ride or a rain shower, they just aren't a good idea unless you really want to show off your undies!

The first time it was a mom with kids so I figured I should tell her, since I would want to know. Well, as luck would have it she didn't speak English and I ended up having to tell her husband. Very awkward and I am not sure he even understood. The next time I did not tell the woman because we were in line and there was not a discreet way to tell her in front of her friends and my sons. The third time I would have lost my place in line and the women chose not to wear underwear at all. I am thinking she knew her yoga shorts (really?!) were see through, which is why she wasn't wearing underwear.

I get that this is awkward for Disney, but I hope they do something about it. Maybe change the sign at the front to "No selfie sticks or see-through yoga pants?" Lol

Well, at least she couldn't stuff the selfie stick down her pants and get away with it.

I dunno.. I think many people just assume that yoga pants are not transparent, and since it's sorta hard to see for yourself, they assume they're fine.

Yeah, but you would think SOMEONE traveling with them woukd speak up.
I can't imagine my family members not flipping out about that.

I call it being "squat safe". I wear the pants all the time to the gym, but over time, wash after wash, the material can go thin. So I have my husband point a camera with a flash at my tush and squat deep. If you can see anything, even an outline, they get thrown away. Some people don't care, and some are unaware. I don't buy the cheap ones though for this very reason, cheap thin cotton yoga pants tend to come already see-through. For me they are easy to wear, eliminate chafing of my thunder thighs (cause thats what squating heavy weight got me), and easy to run after my twins in. So I can see why women wear them but they do need to check them.

I have yet to see anyone in yoga pants where you couldn't see their underwear in the sun. And you really don't have to look hard at all, you can see right through them.

There's usually a difference between proper yoga pants and leggings. Leggings are usually see through and yoga pants are usually better coverage. I hate when people wear leggings as pants. Only time I wear leggings is under dresses. When I wear yoga pants, I wear a long shirt (or hoodie that covers my keister) and I only wear them for PT or walking/exercise. I know no one wants to see my keister, so I go through great pains to make sure it's covered in public. I wish others would do the same.

I think that if people could actually see what they look like from behind, especially in those yoga type pants, or worse, leggings, that we wouldn't see them on 3/4 of the people that wear them. Black isn't always slimming people. The same goes for those jersey material maxi dresses. While they may be comfortable, they accentuate every lump, bump, dimple, line and bulge both up front and behind.

Leggings are pants when you are pregnant and can wear a long tunic maternity top covering your butt. Trust me. Take away my maternity leggings, and we will have problems.

Maybe she didn't care? I personally wouldn't be particularly fussed. It's just knickers lol! Fair enough lack of pants, but I'd rather be comfy than worrying that occasionally someone might be perving on my bum. However I'm 22 so I'm probably the target audience for leggings. Also I would die if I wore leggings in Florida being from the UK. I would end up as a melty puddle on the floor.

You really have to be in shape to look good in yoga pants and leggings. As in, pretty lean or curvy but very toned. There are women at my gym who look amazing in yoga pants. (The non see through kind) I think leggings are difficult to pull off without a shirt covering your rear end. But that doesn't mean that people of all sizes and shapes can't wear them.

Who wears yoga pants at Disney in early September? OMG. I'm sweating just thinking about it.

It's possible, but it's also really easy to never ever think about it.

It took being with my back to the mirror in a wide legged forward fold, and looking at the mirror to notice that in THAT position I could see the *outline* of certain undies. Now, most people aren't looking at my rear when I'm doing that, so I'm cool with it and still wear the yoga capris. But since it took several months of doing yoga in them for me to notice that, and I think about it and try to check for transparency, it's easy to understand if someone hasn't quite noticed yet.

I've realized the reason I've never noticed this at the parks is because I really don't care if I see someone's undies. I took a look around today when I was out and sure... I spotted some visible underwater. And some people have less than perfect bods and wear fashions that aren't perfectly flattering.

And maybe some of you would tell me my shorts are too short for a woman my age. But my husband likes them, and that's really all that matters to me. (I would have had my bra straps showing today, too, but that shirt died in the wash, so I was forced to wear a tee instead.)

I guess if no one's getting arrested for public indecency, I really can't get all that worked up about it. I won't go blind, just because some stranger is showing the world their cellulite, or tummy rolls, or, in the case of one particularly nubile young thing trying to fix the chain on her bike down by the bagel shop - both butt cheeks. My husband found the sight utterly delightful. (In an effort to be fair, he then pointed out a - male - shirtless jogger to me.)

This is so true! When I first started seeing the see-through pants I thoought it was a risque trend (like low rise jeans and thongs a few years back), because of course these girls HAD TO KNOW their butts were showing. And then one day while I was wearing my fav pair of leggings I caught a glimpse of myself in the sunlight....
