Transmerdian airlines?

Anybody hear of them or used them? Also has anybody flown into Sanford airport? How far from port and what types of transportation to port? Thanks!

Sorry, never used them, but have flown into Sanford twice...LOVED IT...Small little homey airport..Very few gates, and nice nice staff....

We used our own pickup car service, and DCL does not run through Sanford....

Mind you, there is LITTLE to do in this airport, so try not to arrive too early..

We're flying Trans Meridian out of St. Louis MidAmerica next month for our Sept. 17 Magic cruise. I'll let you know how it goes. We've never used them. But we are flying in on Friday, then just renting a car to get us from Sanford to Cocoa Beach and staying the night there before our cruise.
Like I said, I'll have to give you feedback when we get back.

We used TransMeridan last year to Orlando Sandford. The flight was on time, staff was pleasant, and the plane was in pretty good shape. Orlando/ Sanford is great. It's so small & clean. Renting a car there was a breeze.

I know Sanford's only like 20 minutes from MCO, so I would assume that it won't be more than an additional 20 minutes to the port compared to going straight from MCO. (but we haven't mapped it out yet)

We've used TMA lots. Had no problems. The only "issue" was that the baggge seems to come out a little later than others. During one of our waits, the passengers were discussing the possibility that as a discount airline, they get "second" service by the baggage handlers and other service groups. Can't verify that opinion, but for the price, I can wait a few more minutes! We now know to take our time, stop at the bathroom and even get the rental car and THEN go get the bags and we're off!

We've flown TMA 3 times from Harrisburg PA to Sanford. Twice we experienced flight delays from Harrisburg to Sanford. I definitely would NOT use them the day of departure but if you're flying in the day before, go for it.

The staff is professional and courteous. Service was excellent. Both times that we were delayed, it was because the plane got held up in leaving Sanford to fly to Harrisburg so those of us in Harrisburg were kept waiting for our flight to Sanford.

We still plan to use them again, since we're only 20 minutes from the Harrisburg airport and our other options are 1.5 hours drive to Baltimore or Philadelphia.

If we use them we will be flying down on thurs or fri. The main problem I see with them is the early morning flight, Atlanta rush hour traffic and a 4 year boy. The price of $59 is great. I think that I am going to hold out a little longer and see if any other airlines come down in price. I would really like to fly into Melbourne.
