Transition to and type of sippy cup

This may sound crazy but DS started drinking out of a cup at around 8 months. He was breast fed, never took a bottle and had no idea what to do with a sippy. We would hold the cup to his lips and he would drink. At that point we only gave him a little water while he was eating, the rest of his fluids came from breast milk. He was holding his own cup at a little over a year (in his high chair with about an inch of liquid at a time). He then went to drinking with a straw. Which made life easier as he could have water available whenever he wanted it without worrying about spills.

I know a lot of others have already recommended the nuby, but I thought I would just mention that they now have a nuby bottle that comes with a wide mouth top, and the wide mouth nipple, then they also include the nuby sippy spout and the nuby sports bottle top, all with caps.

I liked buying them , because if I go somewhere I can take one bottle. For the most part she uses the nuby sipper, but at nap time I can switch to the bottle. :)
