Is anyone else PUMPED to see Transformers II? :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I think I'm the most excited one in my house; most excited than DS7 OR DH!! Is that very sad??? A 34 yo professional woman/mom who's THAT excited to see a movie based on an 80s toy????

:confused3:rotfl2::confused3:rotfl2:

Oh well, I don't care, I still can't wait!

DS and I can't WAIT for Transformers 2!! That is one movie that really surprised me. I saw the first one mostly for DS, but I think I loved it even more than he did. Sooooooo excited for part 2!!!!! :yay:

Me! I'm a 39 yr old mom who is excited to see it! DS has it marked on the calendar! I was pleasantly surprised that I Loved the first one! We're going to MN zoo to see it on the IMAX!!

I must concur that I was actually really shocked at how much I really and truly enjoyed the first one! I remember seeing the trailers and thinking that it was definately worth checking out, but I ws so taken with it that DH got me a DVD copy when it came out just before my birthday!

*SUCH* a great movie; sadly, as we all have come to realize, the sequel rarely even meets the expectations set by the first one. But you do get the odd movie that's the exception to that rule!

I was thinking of taking the kids on opening night (Wed June 24th up here) - do you think that's nuts?!?!

Doesn't sound nuts to me! We would be going then, but anything other than the matinee just costs more than I'm willing to pay. So, we have tickets for that Saturday morning. :)

:cool1::cool1::cheer2::cheer2: Me. I am 45 years old and can't wait to see it. I just wish the rest of my family wanted to go.

This is really bad, my new car has a built in DVD player in the stereo for front seat viewing while the car is in park. Guess what movie DD12 and I watch while we have to wait for DD14 (seems like we're always wating for her somewhere, lol). Yep, Transformers, in dolby surround!

reviewers have been saying it's too long!!

How can a movie about the transformers be too long???

anyone going to the tuesday midnight showings?

If it makes you feel better, they've messed it up so much that it's best to not associate it with the 80s toys/show.

Truthfully Beastwars was the best incarnation ofthe transformers anyway (best overall story anyway)

37 year old working mom of 3 checking in. I am soo excited also. I loved the 1st one too. I would go on opening day(wednesday) too but I'll be at work so I'll have to go on the weekend. Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait.

It was one of those cartoons I watched as a tween/teen back in the day. And I'm female too. :) No kids, just me who loves to watch those types of movies. :teeth:

You know what; I've herd lots of arguments about how the movie "basterdized" the whole notion behind the Transformers, and how it didn't follow the true "heart" of the original cartoon series, and blah, blah, blah, but I guess I just try to look at it as a sort of new take on an old favourite!

40 y/o male + Megan Fox =

I'll be there. :teeth:

I had this discussion with my DH yesterday:

Me: I don't understand why people think Megan Fox is pretty.
DH: Trust me, she's hot.
Me: But she is funny looking
DH: She's hot
Me: Her face is funny looking
DH: She's HOT
Me: OK

I'm pumped too :D

I remember in the 80s I had a bunch of Care Bears, Star Bright, and My Little Pony toys. But going over to a boys house one day in grade three I was honestly a little jelous over how cool his transformers were :rotfl: He had a wall of shelving and it was FULL of them. They were just so much more fun to play with and didn't have stupid moves like the Care Bear Stare. Girls toys in the 80s were kinda sad compared to the boys stuff, but I did love Jem and the Holograms :lmao:
