Sailing on the Magic 12/27/03.

Booked the cruise through Disney, therefore I will be taking the Disney bus from MCO to the ship. Is this a mistake? Should I get a limo instead?

Please help!

We took the Disney transfers. There were 3 of us and we found them to be great and a great value. We stayed at the Hyatt and they collected our luggage at 8:30 that morning. We had a nice breakfast and then signed in at the hotel lobby for the bus. They took us to it and off we went. We left at around 10:15 and got to the port around 11:00.
We really enjoyed our bus ride and that we didn't have to deal with our luggage or trying to meet up with other transportation.

When we disembarked, the porter took our luggage to our airline counter at the port and then on to the bus. Again didn't have to touch our luggage.
That was worth it for us :)
If we had more in our party we might have looked at other options but this fit us just fine.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Depends on what time you want to get to the port and whether you prefer your own vehicle or whether you don't mind being with the others and possibly waiting for a bus. When we first started cruising, we took the DCL bus. We enjoyed the video and usually got in on an early flight, so we got to the port at a decent time. But a couple of times we sat in front of "sugar kids" who amused themselves by kicking our seats for the duration of the journey, and we also ran into waits a couple of times. Now we use Happy Limo, which worked well when we arrived the morning of our cruise and is even better now that we fly in the night before. We really like being able to get to the port as early as we want.

Definately a personal choice. We took DCL transfers a few times but now prefer to do a one-way rental from MCO to Port when we come in the day before.

Our upcoming cruise on 5/17 we are doing a completely different way than we have before by hiring a van service to bring all 11 of us to the ship. It was much cheaper than paying for 11 DCL transfers.

We are also looking into getting van transfers. The DCL transfer is about $50 (I think). So with 10 of us that is $500. We can get a 10 passenger van for $270 (round-trip) which works out to $27 per person.

If it was only my immediate family, we'd probably use the DCL transfers (unless we were arriving the night before, then maybe renting a car).

There are six in our group and we are renting a mini van for both legs of our travel between MCO and the port.
