Good Morning All

I was just wondering what's the best way to transfer between CDG and the Disney Resort? The first year we drove so no issue and then last year my mum, dd (4) and I got the vea. We had quite a wait to get across the airport and then there was a lot of pushing and shoving to get on :sad2: Not an experience I really want to repeat!

This year dh is coming and ds (2) so I was wondering what the other options were?

Many Thanks in advance.

Cubby :)

we always get a private transfer but if you are trying to keep costs down you could get a shared transfer also. we use rs transports and i have nothing but good things to say about them. they meet you right after you leave the baggage collection area and in around 30 mins you are checking into your hotel. i couldnt do with any pushing or shoving lol

We also go for a private transfer. With the 5 of us it works out a similar price to the vea. We've never had any probs just picking up a taxi at the airport

may i ask.... why do you not use tvg when it only takes 9 mins???

is it a "no no" with children?

deciding what we should do in feb. we get in at around 8pm..so going straight to hotel

hiya,

the reason we always get private transfers not just for disney but all our holidays is the stress the driver takes away by just been there at the arrival gates to help us with our luggage and drop us right to our hotel door, i refuse to do public transport with 2 preschooler 2 suitcases and a double buggy. the tgv may only take 9min but by the time you factor getting down the the train maybe waiting for the nxt one (even if it only 10mins) and then getting from train station to hotel you will prob hav got there faster with private shuttle. we use www.isprestige.com in paris find them fantastic:thumbsup2

thanks for your advice!
yes i will look into it.

i found when we used vea last time... having done all the journey to airport.. then waiting, then flight.... milo the baby was crying on coach, couldnt handle it anymore! haha. so i guess i am just thinking of fastest way out! haha. but also.. the safety factor... i like the idea of private rather then train for the safety aspect at night time.

The TGV journey is only 10 minutes, but you need to factor in around one hour at the airport to get comfortably from your arrival gate at CDG, pick up your luggage, and get to the TGV platform at terminal 2.

Depending on what time you arrive at CDG, the TGV may not be as frequent as the VEA, and obviously if you have a private transfer booked, the driver is waiting for you at your exit, just after you pick up your luggage.

yes i think your right...

i think i would just go with vea again.... but they stop at 8 dont they? and we only get in at 8.10... then there is getting baggage... so prob be 9 when we are leaving...

who are the cheapest private shuttle.. shared or private?

Used RS Transports last visit and will use them every time from now on. Superb service, highly recommend them.:)

How early would you book transfers? Thinking of booking them now for the beginning of August but then thinking (Hoping!!) the Euro might go up :confused3:confused3

With rs transport, you can choose to pay in cash when you arrive at DLRP anyway, so it won't matter when you book with them (as they quote in euros). I've booked as late as 3 days before travel with rs transport before, and it all worked out fine.

i could not deal with the stress of dragging luggage around cdg looking for the tvg lol. i get lost way too easy. it may only take 9 mins but once you factor in finding it and train times you would be just as fast if not faster with a private shuttle. anyways i like seeing my name on a board :rotfl2:

Just tried to book RS Transport over the internet an it says it needs an address for the Newport bay, I don't know it!:confused3:confused3 Anyone know how I can find it out please!
Thank you!:)

I just put (Disneyland Hotel), Disneyland Resort Paris. They travel there all the so know them very well - the hotel and DLRP will be sufficient :)

I tried to do this and it came up in red font 'Address needed' or 'Please fill in address':confused3. I ended up getting the address of google maps so if anyone else has that problem I recommend looking on there:thumbsup2

Thank you all for your replies. I am going to book a private transfer with RS later today.

Knew there must be something less stressful than the VEA :cool2:

23 sleeps and counting :yay:

buttercup they must have changed it then as I just did what I said for my trip - it was last year though so I guess they could have changed it :confused3

I think anyone that lives within 30 miles of DLRP will have heard of it though!

Glad you are sorted anyway.
