Transferring points

I'm fairly new to DVC and have a question I'm sure you guys can answer for me. My home is BCV. A friend of mine's home is OKW. I'm thinking of a trip, January of 2006 (I know it's early, but I'm a planner! ). My use year is October. Can I transfer the points needed for the 1 BR at OKW, at the 11 month mark, to my friend so she can make the reservation for me? She will have plenty of points, 310, to make the reservation for me, so I could wait until October of 2005 to transfer the points, since I'm not even sure I can transfer points I don't have yet. Thanks!

I will answer this for you. Sorry I missed it the first time. You can transfer the points at the 11 month window, but they can not use those points for the reservation since they are BVC points. Now that being said I have heard other people say that DVC can not keep track of transferred points and home resort very well so you never know. Either way they will have the points in their account and they can even bank them to next year if they want. The only thing they will tell you is they have to do the transfer manually because they are 2005 points, but it will take less than a day to do it(it took about 10 min in my case). They will also ask you to send an email confirming the transfer and stick it in your file.
