Transferring Points

Just trying to see if I understand this right. Transferred points retain use year and resort, and can be banked. So say a person owns AKV, but receives a BWV Jun 2020 transfer and then banks the points (by the end of Jan 21). Are they then able to use the 11 month window to book at BWV (and the 7 month window at all other resorts) thru May of 2022?

Yes. they maintain the characteristics of the original home resort including 11 month home resort priority. Since you banked them into 2021, you can use them from June 2021-May of 2022.

Yes, and now they will even show up on your account, and they can be used online.

This does mean you can use strategic point transfers to gain that 11 month priority for special trips!

There have been several reports that transferred points, while easily used online now for 7 months or less bookings, are not playing nice in the home resort period and calls are still required.

So, keep that in mind!
