Transferring Points

Seems to me I recall reading about being able to transfer points in from another owner. Is this right? Does anyone know about this that could explain how it works? Basically, we are 3 points shy of being able to book a 12th night at OKW next May. It's only one night, but we really have our hearts set on a long stay. We have friends/family that own DVC that we can ask to transfer in the points if it's truly a doable thing. I assume people usually work out a per-point price for the service, right?

Anyone who's done it that can offer input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, another owner can transfer points to you. You need to find that other owner who will do so (rent/trade board on this site most likely place if friend won't do it). It is done by that owner, or the two of you together, calling MS and doing the transfer, for which both parties' member numbers are needed. You are limited to one transfer per use year (in or out but not both).

Borrowed (or banked) points may not ever be transferred.
