Transferring points from another member for 11 month priority

So, I just did a transfer with another DVC member today. Specifically to have the 11 month booking window at their resort. We both have the same use year. We were on a 3 way call with MS for about 10 minutes. Done. I cannot see the points until I book a vacation. The crappy part is having to call MS at the 11 month window to book. Only can I book online if it’s in the 7 month window. I should have done my homework a little better but couldn’t ask for a better member to transfer points from.

They have the system set up so that it’s prevents home resort booking online. Probably because it then meshes with the rules for OTU points that people buy.

Did you try booking online with them? I find this is hit or miss. I have transferred points several times in the past. Only one set of points ever gave me trouble booking online with them. The other times I was able to see the transferred points in a separate contract to select and book with during the 7-11 month window with no problem.

Yes and no. I’ve been able to book online with transferred points with both resorts I have owned and haven’t owned. The one transfer that I had to call in to use happened to not be a resort I owned at.
