Transferring points between contracts

I have never done this and am curious about several things...

* How easy is this to do?

* Do the points transferred retain their use year, or do they adopt the use year of the contract they are transferred into?

* Once the points are transferred, are these points available to make a ressie at the 11 month window of the resort contract they were transferred into?

They are suppose to retain their own use year AND resort.

In the past, some transferrs have 'morphed' resorts and change to the user's contract resort.

DVC has been working on this issue, especially the last few months.

Technically they would retain everything from the original contract.
