Transferring Magic Bands

Hi Everyone!
I've done some research on this topic but it was all from a few years back when Magic Bands were new and things have changed since then, so wanted to ask everyone here : I have a set of Magic Bands from our last resort trip, ended up never using them and I deactivated them and they've been sitting in the box since. Is it possible to give these bands to our friends going to WDW in a few weeks and they can link them to their account? I never used them to enter the parks and when I log into my online account they show as inactive. I just didn't want to give them away and the friends have a headache trying to get them to work (if it's even possible, I don't know).

Once connected to a guest, MBs cannot be transferred.

they should get their own if they are staying on property, or if not only 14$ to buy one,
but no once its linked up it can be deactivated but thats it non transferable

there are some special bands that can be purchased with a Link it later feature where you buy in park then have it linked up to a different persons account later

Thanks for the responses! They're staying with family so they won't get a band from the resort. I just wanted to give these as gifts for their trip. Oh well!

I know I shouldn't say this but not totally true. my frozen LE band, which I used for 2 trips already was transferred over to my daughter for use. I see it on her list now vs mine of active bands.

It's possible to "work-around" the built-in limits, but it requires guests to basically "become" someone else.

We didn't change anything. The cast member put me on with a supervisor what I was told and they moved it over. Nothing was changed at all. Just the magic band being moved from me to my daughter.

Ya guys I just pulled the le frozen magic band and it's under my kids name now which I manage. It deff used to be under me cause I used it for a trip already. This trip will be her first trip to use it moved now.
