Hi,, haven't posted in a while!
I'm hoping someone else has done this and can help!

We're staying a few nights in the Cheyenne and then transferring up to the Disneyland Hotel for a few nights (couldn't afford the full stay!!), but I've two issues:

1. Will I be able to get my luggage transferred from one hotel to the other? I'll have kids in tow and moving at 8am in the morning will be a chore!

2. With the way the booking was made, I won't have park access on the final day staying in the hotel Cheyenne (checkout day),, Is it possible to check in early (as in 8am - obviously not get a room) to the Disneyland Hotel to avail of early entryand to activate park tickets?

Thanks all,,,

Am I right in thinking you have 2 seperate bookings ?
If I've got it right then you should be able to check into the DLH anytime that morning, leave your luggage and get your tickets and EMH entry into the parks and go back and sort out the room later.
I don't think you'd get luggage transferred though, hope I'm wrong.

Jill is right about checking in any time to get your tickets.

If you didnt want to lug your bags early, you could always put them in cheyenne bag check and then pop back in the afternoon and get them when you can get into your DLH room, I imagine the buses shouldnt be too hectic at 3 or 4.

i agree i dont think they will transfer your bags but you could always ask!!

yes you can check in at any time to get your park tickets. it is just your room that wont be ready

Remember you dont have to check out of your hotel room until 11 so if its too much hassle to be out early you could go to DLH early, book in, go into the park for 2 hours assuming there is EMH, go back to Cheyenne for breakfast and check out, then leave your luggage at either Cheyenne and collect later or move it to DLH

Wow - got my own thread!! Thanks for all the replies... most appreciated... Think leaving the bags in Cheyenne luggage place and collecting them later is probably the most sensible...Hope we won't have too much hassle getting past the EMH ticket checkpoint but I'll have both Hotel Cheyenne keycards and booking conf from Hotel Disneyland..... Hope the weather forecast clears up , leaving Thursday!

If I were you I'd just show to Dineyland hotel confirmation sheet to get through - might confuse them with room keys and stuff too. But I suppose if they wonder why you dont have bags with you then the room keys can coem in handy...

I recall a member who transferred from The Disneyland Hotel to the Sequoia Lodge. Mind you it was a transfer from the Castle Suite. But Disney arranged for the transfer of their luggage.

Normally when you book a package of room and tickets, the tickets are valid from date of arrive to date of departure. Therefore I'm not quite clear why you do not have park access on the day of departuring the Hotel Cheyenne :confused3

Have you booked direct with Disney or through a travel agent?
I would phone them and ask if it is possible to add the request of bag transfer :)

Def can't afford the castle club!!!

Regarding park passes,,, they booked it under 2 seperate ressies and said it'll be slightly cheaper not to have park access on the final day in the Cheyenne as I'd have it from Hotel Disneyland... Didn't realise they could do that,,

Apologies,, forgot to say booked through Disney direct... I'll give them a shout on Monday about bag transfer

That makes sense about the park passes :)

I think Disney will put this down as a request. Considering that you are moving to a more expensive hotel :goodvibes
Then just confirm this again when you first book in at the Hotel Cheyenne :)

Just off the phone to Disney,,, they don't offer a service to transfer luggage..

No harm in asking again at checkin though!!
