Transferring Disney Reward Dollars

Hi guys! I want to wait until the very last minute to transfer my Disney Dollars over to my card. I've never "reloaded" my card before. The website says that the transfer will be completed once I get an online confirmation from them after I do the transfer.

I'm assuming this happens the same day? Or am I totally off?

I too am planning on doing this and when I called for my card I asked many questions. According to Visa the exchange is instantaneous. You can even call from your hotel at WDW according to the rep I spoke with. Don't forget to check into the meet and greet for the free 5X7 - check out this promo on the rewards site of disney visa if unfamiliar Some advise from someone who has already done it would be also appreciated... to make sure they are giving the right info out over the phone?

If you don't receive your Disney Rewards Card in time, there are only 2 Guest Relations locations on Disney Property where you can obtain them. They are both at Downtown Disney, one being at the Marketplace and the other at the WestSide.

You will need to have both your Disney Visa and your driver's license (other picture ID w/ address, name and signiture) to obtain your card-- no exceptions. Then you will need to call the toll free number on the front of the card, enter your Credit card number, listen to them go through your balance, and finally an operator will come on and assign the points to your card.

What we did on out trip was to order the card a few months before to be sure that we had it in plenty of time and then added the balance of the rewards dollars to the card in the month of the trip.

For example... Trip was in May and we ordered the cartd initially in Jan... it arrived within 2 weeks. Once the bill came in for April we transferred the balance of what was on the card. The transfer happens within a day.

I had to do this. I did not check the expiration date on my rewards card. It had expired when I went to transfer my rewards at the last minute. I was told there was no way to get me a new card in time so I was told to stop by guest relations in Downtown Disney. I was heading for the Disney Cruise so this was a slight detour for me. It was well worth it to get me rewards. I had my new card and the rewards transferred in less then 5 minutes. For those who do wait to transfer their rewards at the last minute check the expiration date on you rewards card.

Mine was instant - transferred from dollars over to my existing card - called my travel agent and paid off my DCL cruise!!

Thanks everyone! It's me - Harambe! I do have a card that doesn't exist unitl Decemberm so it looks as if I can wait to transfer next month!

If you already have a valid rewards card, then you can call up and have the points transferred and ready to be used immediately.
