Transferring an ADR...... Will We Be Double Booked?

We have a "prize" ADR we'll be giving up, if I can get the ADR we want. I'd like to offer it to a DISer, if possible. If I give the pertinent info to the DISer instead of cancelling, will I be double booked? I want to make sure my chosen ADR won't be cancelled, because of double booking. Is there a better way to give an ADR to someone else? TIA

To be safe you should transfer the name of the ADR to the lucky DISser who gets it. You don't want your name on two ADR's b/c there have been reports of the ADRs being canceled due to "double booking." I would try calling dining reservations and just asking to transfer the name of the reservation if possible. Good luck!! And thanks for thinking of giving your ADR to another DISser!!

You can transfer ADR's to another persons name. I did this a few times back in October when we were giving up two LeCellier reservations on two different days.

Thanks for the advice. Hopefully, someone who's tried to switch names will chime in & let us know if it's possible. That does sound like the safest way to gift an ADR.
