Transferred points or split stay

Friend and I want to pool points to stay in 2br lockoff since she already planned a studio and me a 1br - hey saving 15 points is worth it to us

If she transfers points to me can I use them for partial night reservations or do I need to use a full night reservations since our use year is different.

Alternatively I could make 1st four nights and her last two night of our stay but then I get a much better deal then her.

You can use transferred points to complete a reservation using your own points.

So, if she transfers to you, you will have to call to book as well as make any changes that way. You won’t see them in your account,

The drawback of the transfer is that if the trip is somehow canceled, then you have the points and she has nothing. If you each book a few nights then it’s not a big deal.

When we do this we do part of the booking on our points and part on our travel companion points. If there is a significant imbalance when doing that we just compensate with a nice dinner or similar.

Also points retain their home resort so if your and her home resorts is not the same you can only complete your booking 7 months out. If you are booking a resort which isn’t the home resort of any of you that’s not a problem.
