Transfering to get the 11month window?

I have never transfered points. I am on the waitlist for BCV points but I don't want to miss the window so I figured I could just transfer them. Now I really have no idea what to do. I know I can get the the rent board and ask but do they just stay the same once they are in my account. Will they say BCV on them and I just get the 11 month window? Thanks for the help.

If you're transferring non-BCV points into your account, supposedly the bug in the system has been fixed and the points will retain their original resort. So you wouldn't be able to "morph" them into BCV points. But if you're transferring BCV points into your account, shouldn't be a problem. But I guess you never know until you try it.

Make sure you write down the transaction number of the transfer - you may need to refer to it later. Assuming that you are transferring BCV points into your non-BCV contract, MS may have to do some manual workarounds in order to make a reservation at BCV during the 11 month window with the transferred points.

Call MS a day or so before you want to make the reservation and ask what needs to be done so that you can use the transferred points to make the 11 month reservation. Others have reported that MS needs to do something manually to use transferred points in this way and that it could take a day or two to accomplish

Thanks Carol, That is what I need to know. I thought I might get luck with the BCV points but after two months of waiting I figured I should make sure I get the ressie, then just bank the points when they finally do come through.
