Transferes from WDW to PC without doing land/sea package

Can you please share your experiences with purchasing transfers from DCL if you didn't book the land/sea package?

My son and I are doing the 4-night cruise in April. I want to spend 2 nights before the cruise and 3 nights after at Pop Century.

I know I can take the DCL bus from PC to Pop after the cruise. The problem I'm having is getting from Pop to the pier. I've spoken to several DCL CMs and have been given different information from each one.

One said we aren't doing the package, we have to catch the shuttle from the Swan and Dolphin.

Another said we are free to catch the bus from any DCL resort or the Animal Kingdom.

The third CM told me I couldn't do the Animal Kingdom pick up because we're not booking the package.

I want to take the bus from Animal Kingdom. My second choice is to catch the bus from the GF after having breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.

I'm hoping the first and third Cams were wrong.

Don't know but maybe someone else does. However seem like if you pay for the transfer and get yourself to the pickup point you shouldn't have a problem. Most definitive answer should be from the CMs at the registration desk when you check in.

Hi there

Perhaps best if you email DCL to get the right information, but we were told you have to go to the pick up points at certain resorts and they charge you extra for it. We took the transfer from the Carribean Beach, but we were booked on the package, but I do know you can go on the transfer, if there is room, even if you are not booked on a package.

One year we stayed at the Wyndham, Downtown Disney and we either had to get a can to the pick up point or rely on the Disney transport, which can be done, but you will have luggae.

so we decided to hire a car which worked out cheaper for us as there were four of us than four of us paying the money for the transfer and we had the bonus of having the car for a few days after the cruise too!

I am sure Disney will give you the right information when you get there.

We're going down to WDW 2 days prior to our cruise. Also staying at the pop century resort. From what I understand DCL will not transport you to the pier unless you are staying at one of the moderate or deluxe resorts. The problem was trying to find a way to get from Pop Century to another resort. The only suggestion we got from Disney was to take one of their buses to DTD and pick up the resort bus we wanted. Couldn't see us doing that with all our luggage. After talking to DCL and reading up on the message boards and other sites (DCLtribute) we have booked with happy limo. They're picking us up from the airport and bringing us to Pop Century. Then taking us from Pop Century to the pier. I'm sure they could pick you up at the pier and return you to Pop Century afterward. Hope this helps. Good Luck!
