Can you use the DCL buses to transfer from WDW if you are doing the 7 night cruises? I know they are used for the 3 aqnd 4 night but I wasn't sure about the 7. Thanks

Absolutely yes. Transfers currently cost $30 one way or $59 for 2 legs. A leg would be WDW to port. Another would be port to MCO.

But it's only from select WDW resorts, right? The ones that are used in the land/sea packages.

It is only from certain resorts, but not just the ones used for land/sea. For instance, it is available from Vacation Club resorts (which are not used on land/sea). If your resort doesn't have DCL bus pick up, the bellman will take you to the nearest resort served by the DCL bus--we were officially promised that this would happen on one trip, and found that it is a common thing.

You are technically not allowed to bring luggage on the WDW busses, so the bellman's van will get you there.

Basically, the Value resorts don't have the bus service. Other than that, there have been some small changes over the years, but the bell staff will take care of you. The DCL busses run every day that a cruise is leaving. Lots of people on 7 day cruises do WDW first. A smaller number do it after the cruise, so they do run Port Canaveral to WDW busses also.

We are planning to stay at the Value Disney Resort the night before. When I called them as well as Disney Cruise they said we would have to get a taxi to the closest Moderate hotel and take the transfers from there. Our cruise is still too far out to make all those arrangement I guess. But that is what they told us to do.
