Transfer to DU Questions

I was wondering if any of you have transferred a WDW package booked direct to Dreams Unlimited? Was it a problem transferring? Did you make any changes to your package after it was transferred, and if so, did you have any problems?

We booked our vacation for Aug 08 online w/ Disney. However, we would like to transfer to DU but have decided to change resorts from YC concierge to either the GF concierge or Poly concierge. Should we just stick it out with Disney and make our changes direct with them or would it be ok to transfer?

Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

Once it transfers to Dreams they will be able to make the changes you mentioned. Dreams is great to deal with.

I haven't had any problems transferring a reservation to DU before. They sent me a form that I had to fax to disney and then it took about a week before the reservation was transferred. I then was able to make any changes that I wanted to. It was really pretty easy to do.

I emailed one of the DU TA's that was recommended on the board and she has already responded. So I know the customer service will be great!

I usually book myself, then transfer over to Sue Ellen with DU via a faxed letter addressed to Disney but sent to her. I have never had any trouble with any of my reservations, and she generally finds a way to save me some $$ too! For instance this trip next week, (OMG, NEXT WEEK, I need to start packing!), I booked room only, then turned over to her. When the package code came out she had it switched for me, then added the dining package because of the dinner surcharges (holiday pricing). Then I booked a room at a moderate (POR) for the night before. She was able to get me All Star Sports with AAA saving me right at $100 for that night! I am a true believer in Dreams Unlimited!
