Transfer Question..

My DH wants to drive all the way to Florida from Michigan
We will be staying at AKV 2 days prior to our cruise and 4 days after.
Can I leave my car at AKV and take the DME Transfer over to the port and back.

Disney magical Express is a free transfer from MCO to the parks. For transfers from the resorts to port it is $35 per person, each way. Can't say if you'd be able to leave car at AKV or not, but my guess would be maybe, if you notify them - I'd call and ask. Anyone can book the transfers, you just need to call DCL.

In most cases, yes, you can leave your car (especially if you are staying after the cruise as well). If you are only staying before the cruise, I don't know. But it's worth a call to the resort to ask them. You may be required to move your car to a more distant lot.

I'll also point out, that it may be cost more to do so. Have you priced out the parking cost for your cruise vs. the cost of DCL transfers for both (all?) of you? Those cost $35.00 per person each way (resort to port and port to resort = $70.00 per person).

I agree you should price out the difference between parking at the port (driving your own car) or taking the DCL transfers. The drive to the port is so easy. We park at the port often.

If I had my car I wouldn't take the transfers. Easier to just drive and park there.

Remind DH that driving to Florida means you have to (utterly ruin the relaxation IMO with the) drive home.

I found this Port parking - www.parkcruise.com , they seem to have very reasonable rate( even a 10% Veteran Discount/Military)
Has anyone used this service??
I'm still trying to get DH to agree about flying down instead of driving.
