Transfer question

Hello- if I have a Feb use year and a friend has a June use year at the same resort and she will transfer points to me that I will use next August, can I use her 2014 points or does she have to transfer 2015 points for that reservation? I always make myself so confused with this stuff TIA

She can transfer 2014 points to you which you can then bank and use for the Aug 2015 trip.

However, note that you cannot have her first bank the points and then transfer them because points already banked cannot be transferred..
