transfer pts, 7 mo vs 11 mo,...

When you get points transfered into your account from another member:

Will they carry the same 11 mo window if you are transfering into your account the same resort, but the 7 mo window if they are another resort?

If I own BWV and buy/transfer 50 BWV pts into my account, the transfered pts will carry the same 11 mo window as my personal pts?

If I own BWV pts and do the same transfer with non BWV pts the transfered pts carry the 7 mo window?

So, to keep the 11 mo window, you should buy/transfer the same resort that you own?

The points you transfer in are supposed to maintain the home point advantage at their resort. So, if you transfer in BWV points you can used them at 11 months at BWV. If you transfer in AKV points you don't lose the 11 month window, it's just at AKV.

So, when buying/transfering pts that you want to use at your owned resort and keep the 11 mo window, you should search for and buy pts from the same resort that you have and want to use the 11 mo window on?

Yes, transferred points retain their original Home Resort status and Use Year. They can be used at 11 months only for their original Home Resort or at 7 months for other resorts. If you are seeking a transfer to make reservations at a specific resort 11 months ahead, they will need to be points from that resort.
