I think I read once you can only transfer and or receive transfered points once per year. Is that per contract or membership? Thanks

And, that's one transfer in or out. Not both.

Soooooo....
If I have 3 contracts 2 at BLT with same UY and 1 at VWL different UY. I could only do 1 transfer (in or out) even thought I have 3 different contracts?
As far as memberships DW and I are all on the paperwork and both received blue cards. Thanks for the clarification. :goodvibes

I believe in that case you would be able to do 2 transfers - one transfer for each UY. If you transferred points from one contract to the other, it would use both transfers, though: one in, and one out.

Are you sure that you don't have 2 different membership numbers, since you have 2 different use years? Since you have 2 different use years, you should be able to do 1 transfer per use year (not per contract). This situation is different than if you had 2 resorts with the same use year and 1 membership number. (We have 7 contracts, 2 resorts, 1 use year and 1 membership number, so we can only do 1 transfer per use year.)

I think it is two. If you have two different UY's, then you should have two different membership #'s.

In that case, each membership can have 1 transfer in/out.

There is some confusion here regarding the term "Use Year". I have two memberships - same resort, same USE MONTH, but a different set of owners and different membership numbers. I could, today, make at least the following six transfers: 1. into membership #1 for YEAR 2009, 2. into membership #2 for YEAR 2009, 3. into membership #1 for YEAR 2010, 4. into membership #2 for YEAR 2010, 5. into membership #1 for YEAR 2011, 6. into membership #2 for YEAR 2011.

These would go into my two accounts in Use Years 2009, 2010, and 2011. I would then bank the 2009 points and then have access to them. I could access the 2010 1nd 2011 points for reservations after their Use Years (and months) start.

I have done transfers one year into the future; I don't know whether I could do 2012 transfers in 2010.

Regarding transfers from one of my accounts to another, I was once surprised when MS did this to make a reservation for me without counting it as a transfer for either account. The CM said this is always allowed. I don't know what the exact requirements are, though; the accounts might have to have the same use year. Or, they might allow this as convenience to allow mixing of points only to complete a reservation. In my case, I could have easily made two reservations and then linked them, but the CM insisted that the transfer route was preferable.

Actually, you can only do 2 transfers at any time: for you current UY and for the next UY. So today you could receive 2009 and 2010. Once you are in you 2010 UY you can also receive a 2011 ponts transfer. -- Suzanne
