Transfer Points Use Year

Hello,

I transferred DVC points back in October 2019. The points I transferred were my October 2020 Use Year Points. I was wondering if I would be able to transfer into my account right now since the points Involved before were October 2020 and we haven’t gotten to October yet. Or is it that I can’t transfer in until October 2020 which would be a year since I made the transfer in October 2019.

You can transfer in or out of your 2020 UY. if the points you want are 2020 points, then I believe you won’t be able to get them,

If they are 2019 UY points, then yes, It isn’t based on when you transfer but rather UY to UY...at least that is how I understand it.

Thanks for the reply. I thought maybe I could since right now I am in my October 2019 use year until the end of September and the transfer I did earlier was for my October 2020 Use Year points which activate this coming October. I didn’t think it went by calendar year, so since I haven’t done a transfer during 2019 use year I thought I still could. Very confusing I guess since my transfer was for future points and not current points.

Agree with @Sandisw.

You may transfer once per use year per membership, either into your account or out of it, but not both in the same use year. You may transfer points from your current use year and the subsequent one. (When you actually call MS to execute the transfer doesn't matter). Banked or borrowed points may not be transferred.

Sounds like you already used your transfer entitlement for 2020. If you haven't transferred any of your 2019 points (or accepted a transfer into your 2019 use year), you may still transfer 2019 points.
