Transfer points question

Can I transfer out points from a future use year (09) or are transfers only allowed from the current use year (08)? In other words, are 09 UY points only available as a (borrowed) rental option?

Yes, you can transfer points from the next UY. We had 08 UY points transferred to our account when both parties were still in the 07 UY. -- Suzanne

I know I have asked that before but it is still a little confusing how all the bank/borrow/rent/transfer things work.
