We will be taking the Disney ground transfer from MCO to the port on Saturday morning. What time does the first bus leave MCO? What time should I be in line to make sure I'm on that first bus? Can I check in my whole family for the bus myself, or do we all need to be there?

Thanks!

The first DCL transfer to Port Canaveral leaves MCO shortly after 9am -- basically, as soon as it's full. I believe the check-in desk opens at 9am, but guests may start lining up earlier. You'll want your whole family there, especially if planning one of the first buses, because you'll need to be ready to board the bus. Buses run approximately every 20 minutes or sooner if full.

Enjoy your cruise!

Thank you! I definitely want to be on that first bus to get the earliest possible processing number.

We did this 4 years ago and it worked out great. I vaguely recall lining up maybe an hour before the bus actually left. So if the first bus leaves at 9, we should probably try to be at the desk at 8 am.

Your actual boarding number is directly tied to your PAT. Be sure to select an early PAT when you do online check-in. Some times the system has PAT selection grayed out, in which case don't worry about it, but if it gives you an option be sure to select one.

Enjoy your cruise!

I do have an early PAT (10:30 I think). But I recall (and perhaps this has just changed since our last cruise) that the people on the first bus get into the port early, before everyone who arrived on their own, and they get their own 'number card' at MCO, regardless of the PAT they booked online.

My experience, the boarding number you receive is the same number, regardless of when you arrive. It's tied to your Port Arrival Time. Yes, if you arrive via DCL transfers, you will be allowed to enter the terminal, regardless of your PAT, but your boarding number remains the same (based on your PAT).

They no longer check people in or give out boarding #'s at MCO. You will check in once you get to the port and that's when you will receive your boarding #.

Okay, that's the information I was missing!

Glad I got an early PAT, then!
