Transfer between resorts during stay??

My DH and I are planning our 10th anniversary trip to WDW in May (honeymooned at CBR in 1998 ) and we are going to be renting points from a DVC member for a Sun-Thur stay at Boardwalk. It is advantageous for us to fly on Saturday instead of Sunday, so I was thinking about booking one night at another resort, so we can take advantage of ME, then moving to BW on Sunday. Since they will be two completely separate reservations, will Disney move us from one resort to another, or will we have to arrange our own transportation? I have seen posts where folks have done this, but I assumed it was a single reservation with two resorts. Can anyone help me figure this out before I book?

Actually, if you stay at two resorts you will always get two reservation numbers. Yes, Disney will transfer the luggage for you. Call bell services in the morning, tell them what resort you are transferring too. Check out, head over to the BW and check in, just remember that DVC rooms don't need to be available to you until 4:00. If your room is not available, head off to the parks. You can call them later in the day (or just head back there) to see when your room is ready. Once you have a room assigned to you, call bell services and they will bring your luggage.

I believe luggage is transferred between 2:00 and 3:00 if I remember correctly, so even if you get a room at BW right away, you will still need to wait to get your luggage until later in the day.
